SUBJECT:-  FLOOD SITUATION AND WEATHER FORECAST FOR NEXT 24 HOURS:

I.      FLOOD SITUATION:

           All the major rivers are flowing below low flood level.

 

II.   HYDRO METEOROLOGICAL FEATURES:

 A fresh westerly wave is moving across Northeast Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan.

 

III.  FORECAST:

Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail all over the country. However, isolated thunderstorm may occur over upper NWFP.  

 

IV.   RAINFALL RECORDED IN MM DURING THE PAST 24 HRS (UPTO 0900 PST):

Nil.

 

V.     WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR NEXT 48 HOURS

No change.

 

Note: The Monsoon season 2008 has concluded and there

             is no likelihood of river flooding. The Flood Forecast

             Bulletin shall be discontinued with effect from 01st Oct, 2008
