SUBJECT:- FLOOD SITUATION AND WEATHER FORECAST FOR NEXT 24 HOURS:

       I:     HYDROLOGICAL SITUATION:

River Sutlej at G.S.Wala & Sulemanki is in Low Flood Level. All the other major Rivers

are flowing Below Low Flood level.

        II:     METEOROLOGICAL FEATURES:

a)             Yesterday’s trough of westerly wave over Northeast Afghanistan today lies over Northern parts of the country & has intensified.

b)            Well Marked Seasonal low lies over Northwest Balochistan & its trough is extending North eastwards.

c)            Moist current from Bay of Bengal is penetrating sub mountain areas of Punjab & Kashmir upto 5000 feet.

    III:     FORECAST:

Fairly Widespread thunderstorm/rain with heavy falls at isolated places is expected over

Kashmir ,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Punjab. Isolated thunderstorm/rain is expected

over Sindh & Northeast Balochistan.

        Sialkot(Cantt=89 & Airport=18), G.S.Wala =79, Noorpur Thal=74,Muzaffarabad =70, Kakul=69, Ura=55, Okara=46,Talhatta=44, Rahim Yar Khan=42, Chakdara =40, Saidu Sharif=39,Domel & Shinkiari=38(each), Dhokpathan=36, Islamabad (Dhamial) =35, Marala=34, Balakot=33, Hattian Bala=31, Garhi Dopatta=30,Murree=29, Tarbela=28, Phulra=27, Kallar=26, Bahawalnagar =25,Chattarkallas & D.G.Khan= 24 (each), Jassar =23, Khanpur =22, Dir=19, Besham=17,Chakwal=16, Zafarwal& Barkhan =15(each), Sargodha(city)=14, Shorkot=13, Kalat, Peshawar (Airport), Kotli, Oghi, Sehrkakota & Jhang =11(each), Daggar & Khuzdar=10(each).

     V:   WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR NEXT 72 HOURS:

Widespread thunderstorm/rain with isolated heavy to very heavy is expected over Sindh.
