SCREAM

SCREAM! is a complete package for: Seismometer Configuration, Real time Acquisition and Monitoring of seismic data transmitted a Compressed Format. Connection to any suitable digital instrument via a serial connection is all that is needed for data reception. When we run the application, the first window that appears is the 'Main' window controlling the application. From his window, the information, display and setup facilities can be called. Closing this window terminates the application.

EARTHWORM

Earthworm is a robust and extendable platform for seismic data applications, development by USGS and the scientific community. Its main purpose is the real-time processing of seismic data and automatic location of earthquakes. In the system that we are installing, data from a network of seismic stations are imported into Earthworm using Scream! and the scream2ew module. These data are then processed by Earthworm to calculate earthquake locations and magnitudes automatically. The earthquake locations and magnitudes are then written into an Oracle database which can be accessed remotely for post-processing.

SEISAN

The SEISAN seismic analysis system is a complete set of programs and a simple database for analyzing earthquakes from analog and digital data. With SEISAN it is possible using local and global earthquakes to enter phase readings manually or pick them with a cursor, locate events, edit events, determine spectral parameters, seismic moment, azimuth of arrival from 3-component stations and plot epicenters.
