5. Initial Met Course WMO Class IV (B.I.P. for Met Technician) 09-08-2010 to 14-11-2010
6. 72nd Preliminary Met Course WMO Class III (B.I.P. for Met Technician) 11-10-2010 to 13-02-2011
7. Long ND course for P.N. personnel (one week duration) in October/November 2010.
QUALIFICATION FOR ENROLMENT
Regular Courses
a. Initial Meteorology Course A standard in physics and mathematics equivalent to that of Secondary School Certificate Examination or “O level” is required. All new comers to Meteorology may join this course.
b. Preliminary Meteorology Course Standard in physics and mathematics equivalent to that of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or “A level” together with some background in Meteorology or successful completion of Initial Meteorology Course.
c. Basic Forecasting Course University degree in Physics and Mathematics and successfully completion of Preliminary Meteorology Course.
d. Post Graduate Diploma in Meteorology M.Sc. in Physics, Maths, Chemistry or Geography.
e. Advance Meteorology Course Masters Degree in Physics or Mathematics and successful completion of Basic Forecasting Course.
Special Courses Qualification is determined according to the requirement of the course.
